Appliance Ministry

Since 2013, No Walls Ministry has been able to provide more than 800 appliances to individuals and families in need items that might have ended up in a landfill but were instead restored, repurposed, and delivered as tangible expressions of Christ’s love. Each appliance does far more than meet a practical need. It gives the gift of time saving families hours each week that would otherwise be spent traveling to laundromats by bus. It provides the gift of financial breathing room allowing limited income to go toward groceries, bills, or other essential needs. And it offers the gift of dignity reminding people that they are seen, valued, and supported emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

If you are in need of an appliance, please click the “Request Appliance” button below to submit an application.

If you have an appliance you’d like to donate whether it’s working or needs repair or if you would like to volunteer your time to help clean or restore donated units, please select the “Donate Appliance” button and fill out our contact form. We currently accept washers, electric dryers, electric stoves, and small refrigerators.

Sports Ministry

From the very beginning, No Walls Ministry has recognized the unique power of sports to connect with youth and families and to model the love of Christ in a practical, relational way. For many years, that meant creating basketball and soccer teams where young people could grow not only in their athletic abilities, but also in their character, confidence, and leadership.

More recently, No Walls Ministry has expanded this mission by partnering with a collaborative network of nonprofits called The Lynchburg Area Youth Sports Initiative. Together, we are developing a community-wide strategy to reach young people who might otherwise be excluded from organized sports due to financial barriers. With the rising “pay-to-play” model, far too many kids are prevented from participating simply because their families cannot afford the costs.

Through this partnership, we’re working to ensure that every child regardless of income has the opportunity to experience teamwork, mentorship, and healthy community through sports.

Community Work Teams

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction…” (James 1:27). This verse captures the very heart of what we believe. The Christian faith is at its most genuine when it is actively caring for those who are vulnerable, overlooked, or struggling. It means stepping into the lives of people who often feel unheard and unseen and standing beside them with compassion, advocacy, and practical help.

That’s the purpose of our community work teams, lovingly known as the Service Squad. These teams intentionally seek out opportunities to serve elderly neighbors, single parents, and individuals living on the margins by providing essential home repairs and improvement projects. From fixing unsafe flooring, repainting damaged rooms, and building handicap accessible ramps, to helping families move their belongings after an eviction our work is grounded in meeting real needs with real love.

At the core of every project is something deeper than repairs: its neighbors helping neighbors. It’s people from different backgrounds and cultures working side by side, building unity as they build up the community. It’s the belief that strengthening one home strengthens us all. It’s pursuing unity one act of service, one extended hand, one changed life at a time.
