Dr. James Camm
Board Member
Dr. James Camm joined the board of the No Walls Ministry in 2021 and is the pastor and founder of Living Word Ministries in Lynchburg, VA. He is a Spirit-filled Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and is on a mission to make disciples in the Kingdom and make a difference in the world.
He is a Lynchburg native and served the United States in the U.S. Army, retiring as a First Sergeant. After his retirement, he pursued his education and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Personal Finance, a master’s degree in organizational management, and a Ph.D. in Divinity. Each of these life-changing steps has led Dr. Camm to the inspired work he loves – helping people.
After spending several years in Alaska, he returned to his hometown in 2001 and founded Living Word Ministries. His ministry led him to launch Word Ministries International which now oversees ministries in Alaska, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia. Dr. Camm participates with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Lunch Buddy Program at R. S. Payne Elementary School. He also provides outreach to local homeless men by providing meals, housing, personal grooming facilities, and laundry services.
Dr. Camm is co-founder of the One Community, One Voice - Lynchburg community outreach and is the recipient of the 2017 Mayor’s Award of Excellence, 2018 College Hill Neighborhood Hero Award and part of the delegation representing the City of Lynchburg as it received the Virginia Municipal League 2018 Innovation Award for Quality of Life.
